Lavender (Botanical name: Lavandula angustifolia) has a clean, refreshing aroma that provides a sense of calmness and helps you relax. It is a must for your first aid kit because of its healing benefits and ability to minimize scarring. It is often utilized for calming skin irritations as well as accelerating skin recovery. To lessen muscle tension, apply Lavender to the temples and the nape of the neck. A restful night sleep is possible if you inhale or diffuse Lavender. Directions for use:
- Diffusion: Diffuse 3-5 drops or more in the PURELY™ diffuser.
- Topical: To use neat, apply 1-2 drops to desired area. Be sure to test for sensitivity.
- Steam Inhalation: Add 2-3 drops to a cup of steaming water and inhale.
- Bath: Add 5-10 drops of essential oil to 1 ounce carrier oil. Add this blend to your running bath water and mix well before getting into the tub.
- Ingestion: When using as a supplement, add 1-2 drops per 4 oz of liquid. Use no more than three times per day.
To refresh a room or clothing: add 15-20 drops of Lavender to a spray bottle filled with 16 ounces of water.
