Grapefruit (Botanical name: Citrus paradisi) is grapefruits’ cream of the crop. Grapefruits have their name from the resemblance of grapes as they grow in clusters. Nevertheless, the benefits of grapefruits are abundant. It stimulates and uplifts the senses, providing mental clarity and boosting energy. It is a rich antioxidant, keeping skin young and healthy. Cleansing and purifying are also part of grapefruits’ characteristics. People often use it for skincare and weight loss purposes. The benefits of Grapefruit are: it helps uplift your mood, a rich antioxidant and antiseptic, it helps with mental clarity and stimulates the brain (great to diffuse before tests) and aids in weight management. Grapefruit also helps the digestive system as it stimulates the secretion of gastric juices and bile in the stomach, as well as movement of ingested food through the intestines. Furthermore, it stimulates the lymphatic, circulatory, and excretory system.
Directions for use:
- Diffusion: Diffuse 3-5 drops or more in the PURELY™ diffuser.
- Topical: To use neat, apply 1-2 drops to desired area. Be sure to test for sensitivity.
- Steam Inhalation: Add 2-3 drops to a cup of steaming water and inhale.
- Ingestion: When using as a supplement, add 1-2 drops per 4 oz of liquid. Use no more than three times per day.
NOTE: S for sensitivity! Oils with this symbol should be properly diluted and tested in a small place prior to full use. This is especially important for use with all children. Usually denotes a "hot oil". Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun for at least 12 hours after applying citrus oils with this symbol.
