PURELY's Deflect™ is an exceptional essential oil blend used to repel biting insects up to five hours. Each of the plant extracts in this blend plays a crucial role in warding off bugs. A single application is enough to avert insect bites up to five hours. It is safe because it does not contain artificial chemicals which might affect people in a negative way.

In addition, Deflect™ is effective in repelling lice. For external use only.


Directions for use:


- Diffusion: Diffuse 3-5 drops or more in the PURELY™ diffuser.


- Topical: Dilute 1-2 drops with a Purely carrier oil before use according to the dilution table. Be sure to test for sensitivity.


Insect repellent spray:

Mix 6-8 drops or more of Deflect™ oil, 2 tablespoons of witch hazel and 4 oz. of water and put in a spray bottle.  You can spray on your clothes and/or directly on your skin.

Eucalyptus globulus (Eucalyptus)

Cymbopogon schoeanthus (Lemongrass)

Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender)

Cymbopogon nardus (Citronella)



*Oils with the sensitive symbol should be properly diluted and tested in a small area prior to full use.  This is especially important for use with children.  Usually denotes a "hot oil". Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun for at least 12 hours after applying citrus oils with this symbol. To use with a carrier oil, please see the dilution chart.
